Fr. Dan Crosby, Fr. Mike’s brother and a fellow Capuchin, accepted the award on his behalf and gave a moving speech about how relationships with fellow ICCR colleagues and friends made Fr. Mike’s work have such a great impact. Some of Mike’s most notable contributions to the field include his efforts to reform the tobacco industry through shareholder advocacy and establishing a framework for the Catholic CRIs.

Cathy Rowan presented Sr. Pat with her award, highlighting Pat’s pioneering work on climate change with ExxonMobil and other companies in the oil and gas sectors as well as her efforts to hold General Electric accountable for cleaning up PCB contamination in the Hudson River. Sr. Pat also echoed the sentiment that faith-based investors have had the greatest impact when working in coalition. Fr. Mike and Sr. Pat were among the earliest members of ICCR and both served as directors of regional CRIs, and their pioneering work has had a major influence on the next generation of shareholder advocates.
